Pieris Rapae Euglapia Quadriqunctia.Danaus Chtysippus and others. The Valley of Butterflies one of the most beautiful coves of Fethiyes located on ten hectares at the foot of a steep and deep valley. The Valley is like an open air museum where numerous species of butterflies can be observed at sea level along the Mediterranean and where the lifespan of 30 daytime and 40 night time butterflies may be examined with the arrival of the spring throughout 9-10 months.

The valley of butterflies can be reached in half an hour by boats departing from Oludeniz or by walking on a difficult plath from Faralya. Alternatively, Paragliders taking off from Babadag, which is 1075m .high, can land there. The  Valley of Butterflies is a stop-over  point for boats on daily tours starting from Oludeniz Even a short stay in the valley, reaching it by boats departing from the Belcegiz Beach every morning, is sufficient to make you aware that you are in a special Paradise.

For those who have started trekking on the lycian Path in recent years, this beautiful location is included along the route.

The valley was declared a natural site of first degree in 1955 and consequently.

No construction is allowed there.You could take your tents or sleeping bags along or spend the night under wooden sheds covered with shrubs and leaves. You could procure your food and drinks at the small, unpretentious village and restaurant here.
